​Claire has more than 20 years’ marketing experience in the senior living industry. She is an award-winning, diverse marketing communications professional with expertise as a brand manager and developer and creating and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns. A collaborative leader, she works closely with operations to develop strategies that correspond with revenue and sales goals. Claire’s most recent position was with Brookdale Senior Living, where she led and managed the marketing strategy that supported revenue and occupancy goals in four divisions: consisting of several hundred communities representing all product levels. Some of her accomplishments included:

  • Repositioned Life Care communities and collaborated with channel leaders to develop a new web site, email nurturing campaign, creative, direct mail, collateral and advertising.

  • Developed and oversaw a 4+-year-old educational event campaign for prospects utilizing direct mail, social media and other mediums.

  • Created programs and trained community leaders on various management tools, i.e. SWOT analysis, lead and census calculators, marketing plan creation, lead analysis sales opportunities, customer referral generation, managing events, conducting outreach.

Prior to Brookdale, Claire was the VP of Marketing Communications for Horizon Bay Senior Communities. The company managed 90+ retirement communities, representing all product levels, with a focus on multiple levels of care. She was responsible for managing a 12-staff in-house marketing communications department; including marketing budget creation, design and copywriting, media placement, direct mail, web site, analytics, media relations and crisis communications. Personal accomplishments included:

  • Developed company-wide quarterly event and business development campaigns, resulting in lead generation, community and outreach visits. Campaigns included direct mail, print advertising, event sales tools and training sales associates.

  • Developed and executed customized marketing campaigns for 10 newly developed communities and numerous renovation communities.

Claire began her senior living career working for Sun Healthcare Group’s senior residences division. She was responsible for managing the marketing campaigns for 35 residences, including six lease-ups. She interacted regularly with various agencies and freelancers, including designers, copywriters, printers, media placement agency and trainers.

Claire started her career in healthcare sales and marketing. She held various positions at integrated delivery systems with HMOs, pharmacy benefit manager and patient outcomes database firm.
